Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need a consultation before my first treatment?
A: Yes, we require a consultation before all injectable treatments. This allows us to assess your suitability, discuss your goals, understand your medical history, and create a personalised treatment plan. Consultations can be booked separately or combined with your first treatment appointment.
Q: Are your practitioners medically qualified?
A: Yes. All of our injectable treatments are carried out by Amelia who is a qualified medical professional. Under UK law introduced in 2023, botulinum toxin and dermal fillers can only legally be administered following a prescription from a registered healthcare professional. We comply fully with these regulations.
Q: What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
A: Arrive with a clean face free of makeup where possible. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours beforehand and stay well hydrated. For injectable treatments, avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and fish oil supplements for 48 hours before your appointment if it is safe to do so, as these can increase bruising. Let us know about any medications or medical conditions at the time of booking.
Q: Can I have treatment if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
A: No. We do not carry out injectable or most clinical skin treatments during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Your safety and that of your baby is our priority. Please wait until you have finished breastfeeding before booking, and let us know if your circumstances change.
Q: Is there a minimum age for treatments?
A: You must be 18 or over to receive any aesthetic treatments at our clinic. We will ask for proof of age if there is any doubt. Some treatments may carry higher minimum age recommendations — this will be discussed at your consultation.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a cancellation fee. We appreciate that unexpected things happen — please just contact us as soon as possible.
